NAGBOT ("we," "us," "our") provides a mobile application that sends personalised reminders and notifications to help users stay on top of important personal tasks ("the App," "the Service").

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to make NAGBOT work. Specifically:

Account Information

• Email address (required to create an account and sync your data across devices)
• Password (encrypted/hashed — we never store this in plain text)

Task & Reminder Data

• The tasks, reminders, and notes you create in the app
• Timestamps, due dates, and completion status
• Your notification preferences and interaction history (e.g. whether you completed, snoozed, or dismissed a reminder) — used to make future reminders smarter and better-timed

Device & Technical Information

• Device type and operating system version (needed to deliver push notifications correctly)
• App usage data such as crash logs and performance data [confirm analytics/crash tool with dev team]

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not access your location
• We do not access your contacts or calendar
• We do not access photos, microphone, or camera

3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

Under GDPR and similar global frameworks, we must have a valid legal basis for each type of data we process:

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your account and task data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted from our active systems within 30 days, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data. You can also do this directly in the app via Settings → Delete Account.
• Restriction — limit how we process your data
• Data portability — receive your data in a portable format
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know — what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you
• Delete — request deletion of your personal information (subject to certain legal exceptions)
• Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Opt-out — opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.
• Non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service for exercising your privacy rights

7. Your Rights Under India's DPDP Act (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)

As NAGBOT is operated from India, we also comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. If you are located in India, you have the right to:

• Access — a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it's being processed
• Correction & Erasure — request correction of inaccurate data or erasure of data no longer needed for the purpose it was collected
• Grievance Redressal — raise a complaint with us directly, with a right to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved
• Consent Withdrawal — withdraw consent for processing at any time, as easily as you gave it

8. Users in Other Regions

Data privacy laws are evolving worldwide — including in Canada (PIPEDA), Brazil (LGPD), and a growing number of US states beyond California (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others). Regardless of where you are located, we apply the same core protections described in this policy to all our users: transparency about what we collect, a lawful basis for processing it, and your ability to access, correct, or delete your data on request.

9. Where Your Data Is Stored

10. Third-Party Services

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit and at rest, access controls) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via the app or email before the changes take effect.
